SARS Research Paper
It all started in the winter of 1944, the Germans launched an unexpected attack on the Americans. This attack lead to a battle, the Battle of the Bulge. They called it the Battle of the Bulge because of the bulging shape of the battleground on a map. The battle began on December 16th as warming weather drew a dense mist from the snow between Monschau, Germany and Echternach, Luxembourg-the thinnest edge of the allied line. It lasted till January 28, 1945 and was the largest land battle of WWII in which the US participated. More than a million men fought in this battle, 600,000 Germans, 500,000 Americans, and 55,000 British.

The Battle of the Bulge was the worst battle in terms of looses to the American forces in WWII because of the fact that they were not fully aware of the attack by the Germans. Because of this attack, the Americans surrendered to the Germans. After the surrendered the Germans took the Americans, as a souvenir, and drove them around town to show the people there, supposedly, good work on attacking the Americans.
There were three American armies and six corps the equivalent of thirty one divisions. By the end of the battle 81,000 Americans casualties including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed.
It was the coldest snowiest weather “in memory” in the Ardennes forest on the German/Belgium border. Not only did the Germans. The German consist of three German armies and ten corps the equivalent of twenty nine divisions.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome, commonly known as SARS, is a respiratory illness that has been reported in Asia, North America, and Europe. SARS begins with a fever greater than 100.4°F. Other symptoms could be body aches, discomfort, and/or headaches. After 2 to 7 days, people that are infected with SARS may develop a dry cough and have trouble breathing.
SARS appears to spread through close person-to-person contact. Ways in which SARS can be spread include touching the skin of other people or objects that are contaminated with SARS and then touching your eye(s), nose, or mouth. It is also possible that SARS can be spread through the air.
Most of the U.S. cases of SARS have occurred among travelers returning to the United States from other parts of the world that include people who are contaminated with SARS. Currently, there is no evidence that SARS is spreading widely in the United States.
Scientists have detected an unrecognized corona virus in people with SARS. The new corona virus is the leading hypothesis for the cause of SARS.
CDC, Centers for Disease Control, have recommended that people who wish to travel to various places that have been reported to have SARS to not go. If it is must, then they should, wash their hands frequently and avoid close contact.
