Reality in Philosophy Essay

Reality is one of the main concepts of philosophical studies. Unfortunately, it is very hard to distinguish the actual meaning of this term. In brief, reality is a special genuine category that denotes things in the way they actually exist. These things are not imagined and their existence is not questioned or disputed. According to the majority of famous philosophers, reality is referred to the physical existence. If something does not exist physically, it does not exist at all. Definitely, this statement is very arguable and vexed. No wonder, the issue of reality is discussed fervently in the circles of philosophers and other thinkers. Oftentimes their ideas and hypotheses are completely different what makes the problem of reality even more interesting.

It will not be a mistake to say that the real things are reliable and understandable to us. They do not change and we know what we can expect from them. Indeed, the real is stable and predictable. Many people say: “I know that it exists, because I see it”. On the one hand, they are right. No one sees love, anger and even God. On the other hand, it is impossible to say that the thing does not exist, inasmuch as you do not see it. We do not see sounds, wind and atoms though they actually exist physically.

Nursing Philosophy Essay

What is nursing philosophy? Why is it important to develop your personal nursing philosophy? How does it influence the quality of nursing? Nursing is a very delicate and broad topic for analysis, because this field of health care embraces a great number of standards and requirements. Nursing is not just an occupation. It is your personal vocation, lifestyle and way of thinking. I will try to explain the meaning and importance of nursing philosophy to every practicing nurse.

Nursing philosophy is characterized with the original and responsible approach towards every patient.

It does not worth mentioning that patients are different. They live in different environment and have different occupation. Naturally, human health is determined with the environment he/she lives in.

This environment influences the quality of life. Some people are healthier, while others are weaker. A professional nurse must not divide people according to their background and financial advantages and disadvantages. Every patient has the right to be treated in the proper way.  It is not ethical to provide someone with better care, because he/she is richer. The right nursing philosophy should be based on the equal approach towards every patient.

Essay: Drugs and Alcohol in A Streetcar Named Desire

A Streetcar Named Desire is a famous play written by American playwright Tennessee Williams in 1947. The author was awarded with the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A Streetcar Named Desire is supposed to be one of the best plays of the 20th century. It provided Tennessee Williams with the international face. What do you think about the plot of this play? Have you noticed the problem of drug and alcohol abuse there? When you read A Streetcar Named Desire, you notice a great number of words and expressions related with alcohol and drugs. I want to analyze the effect of drug and alcohol abuse on the characters of this play.

It is possible to observe the problem of alcohol abuse on the example of the main characters of the play. We can notice that Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski are closely connected with alcohol. However, the effect of alcohol on these characters is different.

Essay on Personal Strengths and Weaknesses

Everyone is a unique personality who has her definite interests and traits of character. Moreover, everyone has his own strengths and weaknesses. Some people are good at sports. Other people are good at manual work. On the other hand, one can be good at intellectual activity but weak in physical exercises. Have you ever thought about your personal strengths and weaknesses? I suppose it is very important to know such serious matters about you. When you can evaluate your strong and weak sides, you can find the right occupation and develop your own personality. When you know that you are good at drawing, you can become a professional in this field if you develop this skill intensively.

In my opinion, the understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses is the most important point of human life. Her fate depends on this knowledge and objective understanding of her potential.

Naturally, every human being is good at something. Unfortunately, very few people discover and develop their hidden potential. Of course, it depends on parents and their attitude towards their child.

They should be very attentive if they want to notice their child’s strengths. It is possible to notice them when you spend much time with the child and observe his behavior and the style of his playing.
