During the entry negotiation we utilized the WTO rules to master the initiative of opening agricultural products market. So we can control the risk of opening market.

In recent years the producing cost of the main agricultural products, especially grain, have increased at a rate of 10 per cent a year, the domestic price of the staple agricultural products such as wheat, maize, bean, cotton, oilseed, sugar have already been higher than the price of international market and have not advantages of commercial competition. After the entry WTO, due to the pressure of importing these agricultural products is increasing and will bring about harmful effects on the chief products areas of some staple agricultural products and peasants, especially the chief products area of maize and soybean-the northeast area.
Increasing the difficulty of solving the economic contradiction in countryside society.
